1. There was a surreal second that existed only in moments like this. Intruding only briefly, as it had so many times before, the reverie would surrender itself to a coolness that ambled in his veins. A feeling that he had not only come to love, but crave...


2. The percussion of natures orchestra kept time with the increased tempo reverberating in his chest. They were close. There was no need to look back, though the howling beckoned for his attention. The wind. He thought. Just wind...


3. Over time, she understood tears to represent neither joy or sorrow, but instead, the desire for a pause in whatever moment she found herself. Within these few seconds however...


4. He had heard it before. There was no reason to stay; to listen to the same promise sealed into the same broken fate as it had been a hundred times before. This time, he would not suppress emotion with reason, as they seemed to walk hand in hand this day...
